Quilting Retreat Michigan
Plan a Fun and Creative Weekend With Friends
Looking for a quilting retreat in Michigan where your group can relax, create, and truly enjoy time together?
Night Owl Craft Retreat is a private, overnight quilting retreat located in Burton, Michigan, designed for small groups of up to 8 who want a comfortable, clean, and welcoming space to spend a creative weekend with friends.
Whether your group is piecing, cutting, pressing, or finally finishing that stack of projects, Night Owl gives you the room and the time to just quilt.

A Michigan Quilting Retreat Designed for Groups
Quilting retreats are about more than finishing a project. They’re about uninterrupted time at the machine, room to spread out a pattern, and a weekend spent with friends who understand why you own this much fabric.
At Night Owl Craft Retreat, we provide the space so your group can focus on what matters:
- Cutting, piecing, and pressing without setting up and tearing down at your own kitchen table
- Laughing and catching up while you work
- Making real progress on projects that have been waiting for a weekend like this
- Enjoying creative time at your own pace, with no class schedule to follow
Our retreat is unhosted and no-frills, giving your group the freedom to run the weekend exactly how you want it.
A Spacious Crafting Room Quilters Love
The heart of Night Owl Craft Retreat is a large, dedicated crafting room built for hands-on projects.
- Individual 6-foot tables with plenty of room to spread out a pattern or block
- A large, sturdy extra table that works great as a dedicated cutting station
- Power outlets at every seat for machines, irons, and chargers, plus fast WiFi for looking up patterns or tutorials
- Bright overhead and individual lighting for detail work
- Two standard irons, two ironing boards, and a medium cutting mat on-site for extras if needed
Experienced quilters tend to know exactly what works for them, so bring your own tools and machine and whatever else you need. We just make sure the basics are covered.

A Comfortable One-Level, ADA-Accessible Quilting Retreat
Night Owl Craft Retreat is a single-level space with no stairs, making it a great option for quilting groups looking for an accessible and easy-to-navigate layout.
The barrier-free design helps ensure everyone in your group can comfortably enjoy the weekend, which matters even more when your group is hauling in sewing machines, cutting mats, and totes of fabric.
A great quilting retreat should feel just as comfortable when you’re not at the machine, so we have:
- Three bedrooms with comfortable individual twin beds
- Two clean bathrooms, one shower
- Cozy gathering area with coffee bar
- A kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven
At Night Owl, our focus is on spending time with friends and doing what we love, which is why we don’t have a stove or oven in the kitchenette. Groups often bring crockpot meals, snacks, and sweets, order pizza or takeout, or visit nearby restaurants. Most groups plan around it easily and don’t miss it.
